Zhejiang International Trade Exhibition Highlights China-Indonesia Industrial Collaboration
GERBANGPATRIOT.COM, Jakarta – From June 4 to 7, 2025, the Jakarta International Expo buzzed with activity as the Zhejiang International Trade (Indonesia) Exhibition commenced. Hosted by the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Commerce and organized by Zhejiang Meorient Commerce & Exhibition Inc., the event gathered 35 enterprises across 70 exhibition booths. Notably, 31 enterprises showcased their offerings through specially designed booths, collectively highlighting the strength of “Made in Zhejiang” and creating a striking “Zhejiang Industry Wave” effect.
The exhibition is part of its parent event, the Indonesia Jakarta International Industry Week, which featured participation from over 1,000 enterprises spanning 78 cities across 20 Chinese provinces (including Zhejiang, Guangdong, and Jiangsu) and Indonesia. Occupying 40,000 square meters of exhibition space, the event attracted pre-registered buyers exceeding 70,000, comprising professional purchasers from Indonesia and neighboring countries.
With a prestigious organizational line up, the exhibition was co-supported by globally renowned companies including Hannover Milano Fairs, UBM Trust, and PT. SONGLAS EXHIBITION SERVICE. It also received strong backing from 14 authoritative Indonesian industrial associations and government bodies, such as:
– The Indonesia Industry 4.0 Committee
– IPF (Indonesian Packaging Federation)
– GAMMA (Indonesian Industrial Association)
– PDF (Packaging Development Federation Indonesia)
– ALI (Indonesian Logistics Association)
– KOPI Grafika (Indonesian Printing Association)
– ALSINTANI (Indonesian Association of Agricultural Equipment and Machinery Companies)
– ISMI (Indonesian Muslim Entrepreneurs Association)
– PERIKLINDO (Indonesian Electric Vehicle Industry Association)
– APLINDO (Indonesian Foundry Industry Association)
– MCCI (Malaysia Chamber of Commerce Indonesia)
– HIPMI (Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association)
This collaboration established a highly specialized industrial exchange platform, fostering in-depth dialogue and mutual success for enterprises from both sides.
As Southeast Asia’s most populous nation with a market of 281 million people, Indonesia has sustained steady economic growth in recent years, with GDP consistently exceeding **5%**. However, constrained by a relatively nascent industrial base, Indonesia’s Industry 4.0 development remains in its early stages, with most machinery and equipment reliant on imports. To deepen industrial collaboration and facilitate efficient supply-demand matching between China and Indonesia, the exhibition committee partnered with prominent Indonesian associations to conduct roadshows in Pontianak, Makassar, Bandung, and other cities in early 2025. These events promoted high-quality Zhejiang enterprises and products, amplifying the influence of “Made in Zhejiang” across ASEAN markets.
A key highlight was the exhibition’s enhanced focus on “intelligentization”. The debut of the self-developed “AI TradeLink” system and AI glasses introduced AI-assisted behavior and customer profiling analysis, adopted by 30% of exhibitors. This innovation delivers real-time foreign trade follow-up recommendations, offering exhibitors a one-stop, intelligent participation solution to enhance customer targeting, negotiation efficiency, and overall trade outcomes.
Housed in Halls B3/C3, the Zhejiang International Trade (Indonesia) Exhibition spotlighted the prowess of Zhejiang manufacturing. An 18-square-meter Zhejiang Provincial Public Image Zone further showcased the province’s profile, echoing the slogan “Quality Products from Zhejiang to the World” and amplifying the global appeal of Zhejiang’s offerings.(*)
